[Personal] My Product Stack
A quick-hit list of all of the BEST products that I use in my daily life!
Hi Readers,
I’ve received interest from a few of you in getting a glimpse into which products I use regularly that have a large impact on my life… twist my arm!
I’m excited to share this list with you today because I’ve worked hard to truly vet out a lot of these products to only have the best 🤌 in my life.
I would feeling comfortable recommending all of these to anyone I come across, and a handful of my family members have already adopted a few of these into their own lives! 🔥
Without further ado… let’s get started!
1. SmartWool Socks
SmartWool socks are a must for me. I remember getting my first couple of pairs a couple of Christmas’s ago, and I will never go back. Lots of people bash the $20-$30 price tag on these socks, but your typical Nike socks are just as much these days!
Do yourself a favor and get your feet warm.
These socks come in all different styles (and cushions), so I recommend seeing what works for you.
2. RemovePaywall
Have you ever been reading an article you love and it references or links another article from a publisher who has a paywall or subscription needed to read the content?
RemovePaywall allows you to read any article online for free. The tool can sometimes run into issues with some brand new articles not being available right away, but the hit rate has always been pretty high for me.
Check it out: RemovePaywall
3. Dr. Squatch Body Wash & Toothpaste
Dr. Squatch and I have had a love-hate relationship. The premium price tag, the gimmicky marketing (that definitely works…), and the hype around it give the brand a ‘somethings wrong here’ feel, but that just isn’t the reality. Okay, I love it… 😃
Dr. Squatch makes the highest quality of products that I’ve seen in a long time for a big-box store brand. Usually brands look for a cheap way out after awhile and the products start to introduce lesser ingredients, but Dr. Squatch has not wavered.
I use Dr. Squatch body wash (and have used the bar soap), and the hydroxyapatite toothpaste (morning & night combo pack) — and each product keeps me feeling fresh and ready to go.
4. Protein Powders: Ascent + Garden of Life
Protein powder is a big one for me. I have a protein shake every day and it really is such a treat after a workout. Two brands that keep this ritual lively for me: Ascent and Garden of Life.
Both of these brands have their own respective certifications, and my advice would always be to make sure the brand you choose is NSF Certified for Sport (potency & purity tested).
Ascent tastes better and has a very clean and simple ingredient profile (but no NSF Sport Certification, only Informed Sport Certified), whereas Garden of Life has the NSF certification but ingredient list is a bit longer (no poor ingredients, but includes probiotics & a recovery greens/fruit blend).
Find what meets your needs with protein powders and stick with it!
5. Bluelight Glasses
In my own opinion, everyone will be wearing bluelight glasses someday. The amount of time everyone spends on devices is something like we’ve never seen before, and the new generations won’t have been able to stay away from screens for 25+ years like the generations before them to carry their eyes into the later decades. This inevitably will lead to optical degeneration, sleep issues, and the list goes on.
For these reasons, I use BLUEMOKY bluelight glasses.
These glasses are available on Amazon (link above), and come in a few different styles and colors. They have a hint of reflection to them, but that way you know their working 😉
Get you some of these and do right by your eyes.
6. Zellie’s Gum
Miss someone asking for a piece of gum because you don’t feel comfortable buying any?
Well, fret over the the long ingredient lists and artificial sweeteners in traditional gums no more!
Zellie’s Gum is a new wave of chew that is sweetened by hydroxyapatite, a zero-calorie sweetener proven to improve oral health by encouraging harmful bacteria to feed on it before moving on to the food stuck between your teeth — which is what eventually causes the issues. Additionally, the saliva-stimulating properties of chewing gum and subsequent mineralization keeps your teeth fresh, white, and keeps harmful bacteria away.
This gum has a minimal list of ingredients, comes in a few different flavors (spearmint is my favorite), and should be your alternative to whatever you’re chewing today.
7. PB-FIT
Move aside, uncrustables… PB-FIT is here to make PB&J’s homemade again.
PB-FIT is a product that I believe is already starting to hit the mainstream. Zero fat, high protein peanut flour (peanut butter) that tastes good is a dream too good to be true — yet it’s here and ready to be used as a healthy alternative to your beloved peanut butter.
I’ve been using PB-FIT for a few years now in shakes, with fruit & veg as a snack, baking, and more!
Since then, the company has rolled out a variety of different flavors, pre-made healthy-alternative baking mixes, and continue to grow their product offering.
PRO TIP: Skip the low added-sugar versions & get the PB FIT with 0 sugar that’s also the highest in protein!
8. Smart-Bulbs
I’m keeping this one short and bright: lightbulbs don’t need to soooo one dimensional.
LED ‘Smart-Bulbs’ have been out for some time now and have the ability to be turned on with an alarm clock (for a nice wakeup ☀️ ), dimmed to the perfect level, turned to red-light to aid you in your sleep ritual, and turned off remotely to save energy.
Get bulbs that are powered by a solid phone-app that gives you a high degree of customization & control. I use ‘kasa’ smart-bulbs but really don’t have brand preference here.
The best part? These bulbs won’t break your bank.
Get your living quarters setup to fit your lifestyle and stop living in the dark ages 😉
Summary
I hope there was a product or two on this list that you could see fitting into your life and enhancing it in some way. My advice? Get adventurous and try one or two out for awhile and monitor how it positively or negatively impacts your life.
Each of these products are of great value and are all tools I use to better my health, productivity, and more. I have no affiliations with these brands — so rest assured my recommendations are not self-interested.
If you’ve tried one or more of these products, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them! Drop a comment, restack this post, or contact me directly ➡️ ✉️
